Historical single glazed windows–In Progress
Grabill has a team of craftsmen currently manufacturing historical replica windows for a Traverse Bay, Michigan vacation home. This project involves in-swing casement and slider windows along with inswing exterior doors. To attain the historical accuracy requested by the client, the units are constructed of douglas fir with traditional joinery and are single glazed with wood storm window inserts. In an effort to increase energy efficiency for the single glazing, Grabill will provide low-E glass in the storms that improve the efficiency from .7 to .4 U-Value. Grabill offers a full spectrum of historically accurate products. These include triple hung windows with concealed balances or weight and chain operation, and pivot windows with brass or bronze recast lever-actuated hardware. We have a full staff of professionals to assist with each phase of your project. For more information, please visit our website.
