In Progress: Contemporary, Lake Michigan Residence

20101123_9008Grabill is in the final installation stages of a contemporary window and door project on the coast of Lake Michigan. In order to complete the installation to the highest standards, Grabill has made multiple site visits in recent weeks.  Windows and doors in this Lake Michigan residence are hand-crafted with an alumsapele_titleinum clad exterior, and Sapele interior.  Sapele is an African Mahogany wood, commonly used to make fine furniture. The beautiful and unique grain will make each product one of a kind.  Wood grain type can be specified when choosing the Sapele wood.
This product incorporates innovative corner glazed units and oversized glass.  This allows for large expanse views of the lake-shore.

In Progress: Avalanche Impact Window Project

Grabill is currently working on the final phases of a luxury home in the Rocky Mountain Region.  This project includes both operable and fixed Avalanche Impact Windows consisting of bronze clad exteriors with walnut interiors .  These windows and doors are as strong as the structure and can withstand the extreme conditions found in the mountain regions.

Avalanche Impact Windows are built to pressure and impact standards higher than the most stringent hurricane codes.  Through reinforced sash and impact rated window and door hardware, we are able to ensure that the glass is held tight in the unit.  Where units come together, Grabill has designed a unique system of integrating and concealing structural steel that maintains clean lines and the architectural beauty.
