This Chicago property was originally a commercial space, but was converted to a luxury residence with the use of both traditional and contemporary windows and doors. The storefront façade was updated with new traditional hung windows that preserved the downtown history, while the new addition consisted of contemporary direct set windows and lift and slide doors.
This sapele pivot door has 2 ft. deep jambs with a large transom above. Although the transom has clear glass, the sidelight has privacy glass allowing for the desired light and security requested.
