If you think all glass is the same……you are “clearly” mistaken. Standard residential glass contains a percentage of iron oxide which causes the glass to have a greenish hue. This faint coloring is most noticeable in thicker glass applications or where glass edges are visible. There is another option, a very pure, undeniably clear glass produced with low-iron. This glass is made exactly as it sounds with nearly a quarter the amount of iron, making the end result a sparkling, crystal clear glass.
