Home of the Year features Grabill Bronze Pivot Door

Grabill is excited to be part of the 2012 Home of the Year as chosen by Mountain Living November / December issue.   The grand entrance, bronze pivot door that was fabricated by Grabill is center stage.  This exquisite contemporary take on a mountain lodge incorporates wide open spaces, breath taking views and a mammoth pivot door that welcomes friends and family.  With a glass size exceeding 65 square feet, this bronze clad masterpiece allows for an abundance of light to flow through the house.   A magnetic locking system was chosen for this 8 x 11 foot door to provide enhanced security while allowing for the ability to incorporate a home automation system, including remote locking and unlocking.  A warm dark alder interior is the finishing touch for the custom door and perfectly compliments the creamy beige surroundings.  Grabill was pleased to have collaborated with Charles Cunniffe Architects and Hansen Construction on this project.  For more information on Grabill products and to view our portfolio, please visit us online.  If you would like to speak to someone on how you can incorporate Grabill Windows and Doors in your next project, please call us directly at 810-798-2817. 

Luxury Aspen Windows – Featured in Mountain Homestyle Magazine

Grabill Windows and Doors is proud to be part of the design that Charles Cunniffe has included in his luxurious Red Mountain home.   The architectural masterpiece is featured in the Holiday 2012/2013 edition of Mountain Homestyle Magazine.  This modern residence encompasses light, open spaces that include Grabill large expanse windows, pivot doors and a huge lift and slide glass wall in which a panel nearly disappears when fully open.  This Grabill feature allows for an extension of the living space while at the same time providing unobstructed views of Aspen Mountain and Mount Sopris.  The design criteria specified the custom windows and doors to be constructed of American Black Walnut noted for its beautiful grain character and naturally rich chocolate brown color.  Grabill painstakingly graded out the ribbon sapwood ensuring an even color throughout the project.  With the large openings that were involved in this structure, durable construction was just as crucial as the aesthetics.  The aluminum cladded exterior not only enhances the natural feel of the façade, it also provides a maintenance free benefit.  For more information on the luxurious custom window and door solutions Grabill can provide, please visit our website or contact us directly at 810-798-2817.
