Pivot Door – Grand Entryway for Modern Home

This Chicago property was originally a commercial space, but was converted to a luxury residence with the use of both traditional and contemporary windows and doors. Grabill had the pleasure of providing the custom windows and doors for the Longaberger Eschman Meadows Estate, home of Longaberger Baskets CEO. This 55,000 square foot home rests on 200 acres of rolling meadows just outside of Columbus, OH. Eschman Meadows Estate is currently for sale and listed at $15,000,000. Ultra-Modern Wood Windows

Grabill recently completed custom windows and doors for this urban contemporary home.   Although you couldn’t tell it from this picture, the luxurious residence is in the middle of a bustling city block.  The private courtyard is surrounded by oversized lift and slide doors, that provide a seamless transition to the exterior living space.  Grabill also manufactured Sapele single hung and out-swing casement windows along with a highly customized pivot entry door.  The pivot door included a stainless steel canopy that is unquestionably one-of-a-kind.  Grabill welcomes our clients ideas and is excited to take on a new challenge.  If you are interested in more information on our premium windows and doors, please visit our website or call us directly at 810-798-2817.

In Progress: Custom Double Doors

Grabill is fabricating double doors out of ponderosa pine for a turn of the century residence in Illinois.   This project incorporates double hung windows with weight and pulley operation, a large fixed casement window and detailed double doors.  Restoration glass will be used and  panels from the original doors have been duplicated to match existing units.  The hand carved intricate detail highlights the historical features of this 1890’s home.

Contemporary Tilt-Turn Windows

Our contemporary styled, multi-function tilt-turn window is operated by a single lever. This allows the window to swing in like a door for maximum ventilation and easy cleaning or to tilt in at the top for indirect ventilation. Our stainless steel multi-point hardware system ensures a tight seal while providing additional security and increased sash stability for oversized units.

Insect screens are installed on the exterior as a fixed or retractable screen. The tilt-turn window is also available in bronze or aluminum clad and is compatible with a wide selection of lever designs, from modern to rustic.
Since our tilt-turn casement systems do not have fixed vertical dividers between sashes, they are ideal for meeting egress requirements while still maintaining elegant sash proportions.

Shoji Sliding Doors by Grabill

Grabill created these custom doors for a luxury retreat in Riverwoods, Illinois.  These Asian inspired doors were constructed of genuine mahogany and consisted of simulated divided lite panels.  The interior Shoji pocket doors, used rice paper laminated on acrylic panels.  This provided increased durability while maintaining the design intent.  Exterior applications specified lift and slide doors that included insulated glass to withstand the northern elements.  These units combined to make a relaxing oasis on the banks of the Des Plaines River.   Visit our website for more information or call us at 810-798-2817 to see how we can transform your next project.
