Grabill provided European tilt-turn windows along with arch top inswing doors for a project in the Denver area. Grabill’s design staff worked closely with local architectural firm DHR Architecture and contractor Montare Builders, detailing the windows to interface with the custom exterior stonework. The windows and doors were constructed of Sapele and contain high performance glass for optimum energy efficiency in this mountain home. The narrow muntin bars and classic bronze hardware give this contemporary home an old world charm. Whether you are looking for contemporary aluminum clad windows or a traditional solid wood door, Grabill has an endless variety of design options to fit your design intent. Updated photos will be provided as the project progresses. For more information on Grabill products, please visit our website.

Mahogany Entry Pivot Door
Grabill provided the architectural pivot door desired for this Lake Michigan residence. With our nearly endless design possibilities, Grabill craftsmen created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that weighed over 600 lbs. when completed. By using state of the art, off-set hardware, this door operates effortlessly. This unique pivot door has no lower threshold and seals to the blue stone floor. The seamless transition from interior to exterior is made possible by the architectural overhangs that expand over 8 feet from the structure. The true divided lite door is constructed of premium mahogany with bronze tinted glass for privacy. There is a matching sidelight that allows for maximum exterior light to radiate through this open floor plan. Grabill also crafted a combination of other units for this project, including awning and casement windows, lift and slide doors, butt-glazed corner windows and a site-built lake room large expanse window. Cypress outswing casements and trapezoids
Grabill is pleased to be part of a local renovation that was the original work of Frank Lloyd Wright’s master builder, Harold Turner. Mr. Turner was on site for the construction of many of Wright’s Usonian homes around the country and eventually settled and worked exclusively in Southeastern Michigan. While working closely with current designer, John Savitski of J.W. Studio, Grabill is helping recreating the grandeur of the Usonia era. Custom outswing casements and trapezoid windows with operable awnings, are being produced to match existing windows perfectly. Grabill’s use of high performance glass will combine optimum energy efficiency and timeless beauty to this historical residence. Grabill offers a wide variety of architectural choices ranging from custom pivot doors to triple hung windows with solid wood and clad options. For more information, please visit our website.

fixed arch top door
This aluminum clad door may look like a window but is actually a fixed door. By designing this as a fixed arch top door, it can be placed directly beside an operable door allowing them to match up in almost every detail. This custom door contains simulated divided lites, high performance glass, and 7/8 inch muntin bars. It has been crafted with such a high level of precision, it is nearly impossible to detect it is not true divided lite. For the interior, Grabill used Genuine Mahogany, no sub-standard or substituted species here. In an effort to provide the client with the maximum amount of choices and customization, Grabill coordinated with a highly revered local finisher to provide a wire brushed interior that is truly one of a kind. This fixed arch top door will accompany various other Grabill products in this custom residence. Grabill is also providing multiple expansive bifolding doors, inswing and fixed doors, and a unique custom pocket slider that mimics this same archtop on the opposite side of the room.
